Don't Panic about Gaps

Homeschooling offers incredible flexibility, but even with the best curriculum, learning gaps can still happen. Maybe your child is passionate about a particular topic and wants to dive deeper, or perhaps they've accelerated in one subject and need a quick boost in another. Whatever the reason, discovering these gaps can sometimes feel overwhelming. But fear not! There are amazing resources available to help, and one of my favourites is Study.com.

Recently, my 11th-grade son decided to tackle a 30-level math class. He's always been strong in math, but we quickly realized he needed a bit more trigonometry background to fully grasp some of the concepts. Instead of panicking, I just carved out a couple of days to teach the content he needed to know. Platforms like Study.com are a great option for this because of their wide range of lessons and units.

Study.com has an extensive library of lessons covering such a diverse range of content. It's easy to find informative videos and practice materials that address the topics you need to cover.

What I appreciate about Study.com is its versatility. It's not just for homeschoolers; it's a fantastic resource for any student, parent, or teacher. Whether you're supplementing traditional schooling, catching up on missed concepts, or exploring new subjects, Study.com has something for everyone. Learning gaps happen in every style of education and it's not something you need to stress about. Conversely, consider how unrealistic it would be to think we wouldn't have learning gaps - knowledge is infinite!
