This 40+ page deep dive sparks curiosity and motivation for writing through the art of "Snail Mail" or "Happy Mail".
Students will learn the history of postage stamps, how postal systems work, the history of some codes and ciphers and of wax seals. They'll learn the format of a friendly letter, how to address an evelope (and why), and the ettiquete of thank you notes and sponsor child letters.
They'll have the chance to use their art and creativity to create notecards and embellishments and work with science in using invisible ink making their own sealing wax and signets.
Once they've learned about codes and ciphers they'll put their minds to work creating encrypted letters and using technology to encode messages.
Additionally the bundle is full of middle years geared stationary, notecards, embellishments and fun fill in letter templates so that you're full equipped to print and send.
Students will also collect mailing addresses in their address book and track happy mail sent and received.
